Equipment List
Hobbing Machines
A total of 27 units. With a maximum module of 6 and a minimum module of 1, we mainly cut spur gears, helical gears, and spline shafts. We support mass production as well as small-lot production, all meeting JIS Class 3 precision standards. Machines with autoloaders operate unmanned.
Gear Shaver
One of Okatsune’s prized assets — this rare gear shaver in Japan is capable of a maximum module of 10 and handling gears up to φ550 mm in diameter.
Broaching Machine
As the saying “time flies like an arrow” suggests, the broach cutter — the so‑called “arrow” — can complete work in just a few seconds. We can process spline holes, keyways, and other shapes using special cutters.
Rolling Machine
A worm shaft can be completed in an instant. Paired with a worm wheel processed by the hobbing machine, we can deliver a complete matched set.
Gear Grinding Machine
For spur and helical gears, we can meet JIS N 5 grade (JIS B1702‑1:1998) standards, and also the old JIS Class 1 (JIS B1702:1976).
Various Grinding Machines
We handle internal, external, and surface grinding. In particular, our newly installed NC form internal grinder can automatically process up to φ250 × 150 mm length. We also meticulously maintain hob‑cutter grinders to ensure cutter upkeep.
Inspection Equipment
Our Osaka Seimitsu NC gear tester measures not only gear profile and tooth trace errors, but also pressure angle error, helix angle error, and crowning — all with 1.0 µm precision. We also provide various inspection reports upon request.
Shaving Machine
Using the shaving machine, the surface roughness of various gears can be smoothed — improving the accuracy and finish of each gear.
Machining Center
For gear products with complex shapes combining flat surfaces, external and internal features, eccentricities, grooves, or angled cuts — machining center processing is essential.
NC Lathe
Essential for pre‑gear‑cutting operations. Equipped with a robot loader, 15 machines operate unmanned, automatically mounting and removing parts. Some have two spindles — enabling simultaneous processing of both ends of a shaft.
Heat Treatment
We provide integrated processes including full carburizing & quenching, surface induction hardening, and gas nitriding. Heat‑treatment reports, gear‑surface hardness data, and cut sample submission are also available.
